Six members of the Ivins Youth Council (Ollie, Maddie, Michaela, Chloe, Anna, William) made a coordinated pitch to an executive panel at Black Desert Resort, seeking a donation for their ADA-accessible swing set project. Four youth took turns presenting, then they all fielded questions before stepping out while the executives deliberated.
When called back, Patrick Manning, the resort’s Managing Partner, praised their presentation and announced that Black Desert Resort would donate $5,000 in full support of their community initiative and help in any other way they could to ensure the project’s success.
Grateful for the generous contribution, the youth council then asked how they could give back, offering to assist with any volunteer needs at the resort.
In just over a week, the Youth Council has raised an impressive $12,865!
