The Ivins Youth Council was everywhere at Heritage Days this year! The months of planning they put into the celebration definitely paid off. Council members ran the Cake Walk and carnival games, judged the watermelon-eating and root beer chugging contests, and pitched in wherever they were needed throughout the day.
They represented Ivins wonderfully in the parade, handing out candy and “Young Voices Matter” wristbands along the route. And they had some four-legged help! Three beautiful huskies from the Ivins Animal Shelter joined the Youth Council for the walk and attracted plenty of attention along the way.
It was a busy day, but also a fun one. Heritage Days is one of those events that brings Ivins together, and the Youth Council was proud to be part of making it happen.
Most importantly, our Youth Council members didn’t just show up. They worked, laughed, helped, and brought plenty of enthusiasm to Heritage Days.
And after a day like that, we think they’ve earned a few bragging rights.
Great job, Youth Council!
